Our Wedding

Jesse and Cynthia’s journey began on a January night in 2020 at Yard House, Brea. From the moment they met, they knew—they had found their person. The Hinge app never stood a chance after that night! What made their connection undeniable was their shared love for their cultura, their passion for traveling and their ability to light up any party with dancing and singing. They were, in every way, each other’s perfect match. Just a month later, on February 29, 2020, Jesse asked Cynthia to be his girlfriend—an extra special leap year milestone. But soon after, the world changed as the COVID era began. Through quarantines and uncertainties, they thrived, growing even stronger as a couple. Together, they navigated life’s challenges, from moving out of state for a few months to enduring the heartbreaking loss of Cynthia’s beloved parents and grandparents. Through it all, they stood hand in hand, finding strength in each other and in the unconditional love of their three miniature dachshunds—who, without a doubt, rule their hearts (and their bed and their travel plans). Jesse and Cynthia share a deep love for exploring Mexico, from the vibrant cities in Jalisco, Guanajuato, Colima, Zacatecas, and Nayarit to the stunning coastal escapes they can never resist. Their favorite beach towns—La Paz, Barra de Navidad, and Sayulita—have become cherished destinations, but nothing compares to their love for Puerto Vallarta. So it was only fitting that, on August 8, 2024, with the sound of waves crashing behind them, Jesse got down on one knee and proposed in their favorite place. Beyond their love for travel, Jesse and Cynthia are the ultimate karaoke duo, always ready to belt out their favorite tunes. And even after more than three years of sobriety, Jesse remains the life of the party, proving that a good time doesn’t need a drink in hand. Some of their funniest and most unforgettable moments include getting left behind in Mammoth Mountain with no way back to their hotel, raising a litter of four puppies (which truly took a village), and building a home together for nearly four years. Whether they’re catching a Broncos or Clippers game, hitting the slopes, or exploring a new foodie spot, every adventure is better because they have each other. From fun nights out to cozy nights in watching endless reruns of Seinfeld and Game of Thrones, or even last-minute trips to Marshalls “just to look” (but never leaving empty-handed), life together is always an adventure. And as two people working in food and beverage, there’s nothing better than being able to vent about work stress to someone who actually gets it. Oh, and while hate is never a good thing, if there’s one exception—it’s their mutual loathing of Trump. That guy can suck it lol. Now, they’re excited to embark on this next chapter together. They will be receiving the sacrament of marriage on August 9, 2025, in Placentia, CA, and can’t wait to celebrate their union with you on August 20th in Puerto Vallarta—where they plan to dance and sing the night away with all their favorite people!
