Sean and Cynthiana first met at a fundraiser at a winery. Sean was interested first, impressed by Cynthiana standing up for her sister. He asked for her number only to be given a fake one, not knowing Cynthiana was engaged.
Six months later, Sean and Cynthiana, now single, were set up by a mutual friend and maid of honor Savannah Alford. They went out to Mexican and a drive-in movie. It was a double feature and neither saw the second movie as they were lost in conversation. Sean dropped Cynthina off and as he left, to her delight, was caught on her ring camera playing with her dog Zeus in the back yard.
While working opposite schedules Sean and Cynthiana had booked couples photos together. Sean and the photographer tricked Cynthiana into thinking the photoshoot was over when he pulled out the ring with his grandmother's diamond and asked her to spend the rest of his life with her. She replied, "of course," and the photo session resumed.
