Douglas – 23. Czarina – 22. Met Her at a Bar.

A dimly lit bar, there was a fateful encounter, a clumsy run-in at the end of a night. Douglas, a 23-year-old aspiring musician and soon to be law student, with a spirit full of dreams, turned a corner and bumped into the love of his life, Czarina. The life of the party and a legal assistant who wanted to travel the world as a flight attendant, collided into this unassuming “boy” and spilled her drink. Little did they know, this was the beginning of a chapter that would forever change their lives.

Douglas – 24, and Czarina – 23. I See Pink.

Like all great stories, Czarina and Douglas reconnected by an unexpected calling. Certainly, no one expected a psychic medium. Believe it or not, Douglas was randomly approached by a psychic who channeled an important message.

“You’re going to meet someone special. I see pink…”

“A small Filipino girl,” she said,

“Cute as a button…”

“quick as a whip…”

“So… watch out.”

Czarina and Douglas matched on Hinge days later. The connection was gradual, yet indelible. The typical, fleeting internet “match” quickly became a nightly pen-pal. The two were anxious to share their uniquely different experiences at the end of each day. Czarina would share her flight attendant stories, travelling across the country, visiting new cities. She would send photos of her newest flight routes. Douglas, relentless in his efforts, shared his unusual music gigs, his law classes, and shared song recordings that helped put Czarina to sleep at night.

Soon after, they had their first date, which was 10 hours long. The rest is history.

Douglas and Czarina have shared their symphony of passions and hobbies; they have travelled the world; they have celebrated life with friends and family; and they remain inseparable to this day.

They are committed to their lifelong journey for each other in the city of their dreams, surrounded by their closest friends and family on April 27, 2024.
