D'Andra and Nathan met as most millennials do... on a dating app, Bumble to be specific. On January 3rd of 2021 is where their story all began. Her profile said it was time to put in some work to find a real relationship, and as Nathan looked through her pictures he just couldn't get past her beautiful smile. They matched and thank God D'Andra didn't miss her shot and message him. From the very first message he sent she knew he was someone different and special. They spent a few days feeling each other out over text, but once they started video calling, things progressed steadily.

In mid-January they went on their first date to National Harbor, where they sat and talked for hours, and despite the January cold, they didn't want to leave. Their second date was at the Wharf in South West DC. There they sat on the swings by the water once again the cold didn't phase them as they had deep conversations about what they wanted in life. As they walked the waterfront, D'Andra sent every signal she could that she wanted him to hold her hand. Just when she thought it couldn't be more obvious Nathan reached to hold her by the hand and to this day she can still remember the spark she felt. That was when they knew that they wanted to be together.

Since then their story has been full of game nights, plane flights, weird anime, and lots and lots of garbage reality television, but more importantly friends and family, challenges and lessons, and a love strong enough to bind them forever.

D'Andra still remembers the butterflies she felt for him and the moment she knew she was truly in love. Nathan remembers the nerves of knowing he was in love, and being terrified to say it. Clearly they both got over their fears and haven't stopped loving each other since.
