We were married in a small ceremony on June 6, 2020, at the University of Notre Dame.&nbsp;&nbsp;Due to COVID-19&nbsp;we opted for a small elopement, and we&nbsp;cannot wait to finally celebrate with our&nbsp;family and friends.&nbsp;We are so excited to host you in San Diego for the 1 year celebration of our marriage! We will continue to&nbsp;monitor&nbsp;the national health crisis and local travel advisories as we get closer to&nbsp;June 5th, 2021. We are feeling optimistic about recent vaccination news, but&nbsp;highly recommend booking flights early with a flexible&nbsp;cancellation or refund policy in the event that we do need to push back our event further.&nbsp; Please plan to RSVP&nbsp;as early as you're able, at the latest on April 1, 2021. This will help us communicate better with you on the status of the celebration and adjust any plans as necessary. Our registry has been disabled.&nbsp;The gift of bringing our friends and family together after such a chaotic year is all we need. If you'd still like to contribute to our goals in our first year of marriage, please make a donation&nbsp;to Black&nbsp;Girls Code, The&nbsp;ACLU,&nbsp;Humane Society, or a charity of your choice.&nbsp;

Traveling to San Diego

From the Airport

If you are flying to San&nbsp;Diego, you'll most likely&nbsp;be flying into San Diego International Airport (SAN).&nbsp; SAN is 5-10&nbsp;minutes from the hotels;&nbsp;we recommend using a Taxi,&nbsp;Lyft&nbsp;or Uber&nbsp;to get between them. This will also save on&nbsp;parking fees at the hotels.

Things to Do

Below are some&nbsp;of our favorite things to do&nbsp;in San&nbsp;Diego. If you find you have some free time to explore, we'd suggest checking out a few of them! 

• San&nbsp;Diego Zoo: Well worth a full day of exploring, the Giant Panda &&nbsp;Elephant&nbsp;Odyssey exhibits are&nbsp;our favorite. •&nbsp;Coronado: Drive or take the ferry&nbsp;across to Coronado&nbsp;and head to Central Beach for some sun and relaxation. • La&nbsp;Jolla: A&nbsp;short drive from San&nbsp;Diego, we recommend grabbing your walking shoes and walking the shoreline near&nbsp;Seal&nbsp;Rock or La Jolla Cove. • Sunset Cliffs:&nbsp;Head to the cliffs and catch sunset for some of the best&nbsp;views of the&nbsp;Pacific. •&nbsp;Old&nbsp;Town: "The Birthplace of&nbsp;California,"&nbsp;Old Town is California's first settlement and has maintained its original architecture and culture. The neighborhood is a cute walk-around for the afternoon. While you're there, hit up&nbsp;Cafe&nbsp;Coyote (get the Tortillas&nbsp;&&nbsp;Butter and a very strong drink) and in exchange&nbsp;we'll tell you all about our adventure there in 2018. • Food and&nbsp;Brews:&nbsp;You can't go wrong with a beer from any of the breweries in San&nbsp;Diego (our favorite is Ballast&nbsp;Point) or any of the treats in Little&nbsp;Italy. &nbsp;We also recommend&nbsp;grabbing a snack and walking along the&nbsp;Embarcadero.&nbsp;

Friday, June 4th

Welcome Dinner&nbsp; Il Fornaio - Coronado Dinner:&nbsp;6PM-9PM Shuttle Service will be provided from the Intercontinental to Il Fornaio.

"Sun Diego"&nbsp;Shuttle departs from the Pacific Highway in front of the Intercontinental Hotel and Residence Inn (near Harbor Market) at 5:20pm "Sun&nbsp;Diego"&nbsp;Shuttle will return guests from Il Fornaio to N. Harbor Drive at 9:00pm&nbsp;with an optional bar drop-off, for those who would like to extend their evening, on the way Guests are welcome to secure their own transportation if they wish.






All guests who are in town early are invited to&nbsp;join us for cocktails and&nbsp;a welcome dinner to kick off the weekend!&nbsp; Attire:&nbsp;Semi-Formal/Dressy-Casual (no jeans)

Masks are currently required at all venues when not in our designated spaces and while on any form of transportation. This is requested both by the state of California and the couple.&nbsp;



Please be kind to your friends,&nbsp;family, and&nbsp;the community of San Diego&nbsp;and plan to mask up!&nbsp;



-- As we know all too well, the coronavirus can impact plans and gatherings very quickly. We are optimistic at the recent trends of decreasing cases and increasing vaccinations. However, the health and safety of you &mdash; our friends and family &mdash; remains the most important thing to us.



We&nbsp;highly&nbsp;recommend&nbsp;making flexible travel plans in the event that we must make the decision to postpone&nbsp;this celebration.&nbsp;







We also&nbsp;incredibly&nbsp;strongly recommend all guests get vaccinated&nbsp;prior to gathering.

We are hopeful that cases will continue to decrease, 90%+&nbsp;of us will be vaccinated, and that additional restrictions will be lifted by June. However, we also recognize that many of our guests will continue to be at risk, especially with people traveling into San Diego from all over the country.

We are currently asking our guests to:&nbsp;



















• Be respectful and wear a mask&nbsp;when not eating or drinking&nbsp;&mdash;&nbsp;even while outside, even if you've been tested, even if you've been&nbsp;vaccinated;&nbsp; • Maintain a safe distance when possible;
 • Wash your hands often; • Complete full vaccination prior to the reception; • Consider getting a COVID&nbsp;test before traveling and if it's positive, stay home.
