It all started 8 years ago...
Jimmy needed a ride home from work because his car was in Springfest, so Steven (Dahlia's dad) offered to give him a ride home and Dahlia tagged along. Jimmy tried to say hi to Dahlia and she completely ignored him (to be honest, I'm not sure if she even heard him or not).
A few months later, Dahlia joined her dad for their friends' Marvin and Maya's Gender Reveal Party and Jimmy happened to also be there. They had their first actual conversation and she learned that Jimmy had just transferred to the same dealership she was working at. She thought Jimmy was sooo cool that she very subtly added him on *every* social media platform.
It wasn't until Dahlia made a post on Facebook, asking for places where she could play the Pokemon TCG, that Jimmy swooped in and mentioned that him and all his friends play at Comic Kings and the rest was history.
Throughout the last 8 years Dahlia and Jimmy have endured many different career changes (on Dahlia's part), Dahlia's decision to go back to school, several existential crises, and the loss of Dahlia's grandmother and her beloved Bearded Dragon, Thane.
Dahlia had never been the kind of girl that dreamed about her Wedding Day. In fact, she abhorred the institution of marriage as a whole, but it wasn't until her grandmother passed away that her perspective began to change. Her grandmother had always looked forward to Dahlia's Wedding Day and she loved Jimmy dearly.
Her grandmother's passing had been the lowest point in Dahlia's life and Jimmy was there every step of the way. There were many tears that were shed, many nights spent playing Breath of the Wild, and many nights spent watching Unwrapped. Dahlia and Jimmy's relationship was forever changed after this canon event.
A month after her grandmother's passing, Jimmy proposed to Dahlia on the beautiful island of Kauai.
