Zavier and Daijah’s story began at Winthrop University, where they started as friends who found themselves spending more and more time together. The two would often tag along with one another to visit her family, see friends, and share everyday moments. It wasn’t long before their friendship blossomed into something deeper, a bond they both cherished. What started as a simple connection turned into something they both couldn’t live without—making every moment they spent together feel natural and right. Over the years, their shared love for travel became a big part of who they are. It wasn't just about exploring new places; it was about exploring the world together. They loved seeing the world through each other's eyes, learning about each other along the way, and growing closer with every new adventure. Whether it was trips around their college area or later traveling to Virginia, Ohio, New York, Texas, Maryland, Washington DC, Tennessee, Mexico, and more! Each journey became a symbol of their love. It wasn’t just about the destinations—it was about the conversations, the laughter, and the countless memories they made together, learning so much about the world and each other. As their love grew, so did their family. Daijah brought home a dog, Harley, in her senior year of college. Zavier followed suit and brought his dog, Bolt, into their world. From that moment on, it was the four of them—Daijah, Zavier, Harley, and Bolt—taking on Charlotte, North Carolina. They built a little family full of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments, with each day teaching them something new about life and love. Through all the highs and lows, Zavier and Daijah have supported each other, constantly learning, growing, and loving deeper than they ever thought possible. When the time came for Zavier to ask Daijah to be his partner for life, he made sure it was a moment she would never forget. After seven beautiful years together, on Daijah’s grandmother’s birthday, Zavier proposed with her grandmother’s ring, with her grandfather there to witness the moment. It was so thoughtful, so full of love and meaning, that Daijah was completely overwhelmed with joy and disbelief—she couldn’t even find the words at first. It felt surreal that the moment they had prayed for and dreamed of was finally happening. But once she caught her breath, she said yes—because in her heart, she knew this was exactly what she had been waiting for all along. As they look toward the future, Zavier and Daijah are excited to continue their journey, learning from each other and exploring the world together. They can’t wait to see what comes next, filled with love, growth, and faith. They are so thankful to have each other and the chance to share their story with those who have been part of their lives. They can’t wait to celebrate with everyone and share more of their journey ahead.
