Do people speak English?

Yes, most people on the island will speak some English. We did not have any issue getting around and we don’t speak any Portuguese ;)

Will I have cell service on the island?

We know for sure that T-Mobile and Verizon international plans work perfectly on the island (that what we use).

Is WIFI readily available?

There will be WIFI at the hotel.

What will the weather be like?

The Azoreans say that you can get 4 seasons in 1 day! The weather in July will be between 61-71 F but can get up to 80 degrees. Because we are on an island, you will get that tropical breeze also accompanied by humidity. While the weather is warm in July, it’s possible to experience rain, wind, and sun all in one day.

What is the food like in the Azores?

The Azores are known for their seafood, beef, and pineapple! The food is all so incredibly fresh and we can’t wait for you to try it.

What should we wear to the wedding?

How do we get to the wedding venue?

We will have transportation arranged from the hotel to the venue.

Do we need to rent a car?

Up to you! There is a ton of things to explore just around the town of Angra, where you will be staying. If you choose to stay close, everything is very walkable. If you would like to explore more of the island, we recommend renting a car. Most cars on the island are manual, with a few automatic options.
