Alex and Daisi first met on November 15, 2022, at a sorority and fraternity social at Sharky’s in Turlock. Between games of pool and a $20 Taylor Swift jukebox takeover, their first inside joke “Swiftie lover”, was born. Surrounded by friends, it already felt like just the two of them.


A few months later, Daisi reached out after Alex injured his shoulder, and soon they were texting every day. From late-night car talks to In-N-Out runs and gym sessions, they quickly became inseparable. On July 9, 2023, they went on their first official date to see Spider-Man. Eight months later, on March 13, 2024, at a Lakers vs. Kings game, Alex asked Daisi to be his girlfriend, a moment she’d been waiting for since Sharky’s.


On September 7, 2025, Alex asked Daisi to marry him. What started as a beach date in Carmel, complete with a heartfelt letter and a lot of suspense, ended back home in Manteca with mariachi music, family all around, and Alex down on one knee and asked Daisi to marry her, Daisi said “Yes”… twice, just to be sure.


From Sharky’s to going on movie nights, baseball games, and plenty of In-N-Out dates, their story has always been filled with laughter, surprises, and love. Now, they can’t wait to begin their forever surrounded by the people who mean the most.



Alex had been planning for weeks. He told Daisi he wanted to take her on a special beach date and insisted she get her nails and eyebrows done and wear a nice dress—something she fought him on but eventually agreed to with a little push from her mom and sister.

In Carmel, Daisi felt out of place in her dress while everyone else wore jeans and swimsuits. After lunch, the two sat under a tree at the beach, talking about how far they had come. That’s when Alex handed her a letter saying he wanted to marry her and couldn’t picture life with anyone else. Daisi was convinced this was the moment—but instead, Alex said it was time to head home.

The drive back was long and awkward, with lots of silence and questions. By the time they reached Manteca, Daisi had given up on the idea of a proposal. But then Alex told her to fix her hair and makeup before going inside. As they walked toward the house, a friend appeared asking for her purse and phone, and mariachi music began to play.

In that instant, she knew. Alex got down on one knee and asked Daisi to marry him. Through happy tears and laughter, she said “Yes”—then “Yes, I do,” just to be sure. Both families were there to celebrate, turning the night into a perfect party filled with food, music, and dancing. What started as a confusing beach day ended as the most unforgettable moment of their lives.
