The first time they ever saw each other was in high school during a mariachi festival. He was performing with Sam Houston and she was performing with HSPVA. When Daisy saw Beto on stage, it was love at first sight. “He is going to be my boyfriend” she said jokingly. That same summer they conveniently ended up in the same quinceañera as dama and chambelan but unluckily did not end up being paired to dance together. However, during that summer, he found her profile through the quince group chat and made the first move.

They continued to talk everyday and even their friends started to notice their chemistry. They would deny and say they were just friends but it was obvious they had a thing for each other!


To keep in touch, they would attend each other’s concerts and see each other in any mariachi related event since Daisy’s dad did not allow her to date.

Ever since then (and when Daisy’s dad approved) Beto and Daisy have shared almost 10 years of love and friendship. To grow up and experience life together has been one of the greatest gifts from God and they cannot wait to unite as one at the altar.
