Our Wedding

Back in 2019, I was finishing up high school. One day, I was on Snapchat, and I had a new friend request. So I accepted it, and we began to talk. Devin was so nice and sweet. We talked for a while before he decided to ask me out on a date. It was the cutest date ever. We went to a movie, and then we ended the date with some ice cream from my favorite place (Briqs). Fast-forward a couple of months, and he asked me to be his girlfriend. I was excited because he was my first boyfriend. I knew it was going to be a little bit hard with us dating just because he lived almost two hours away, and I was going to be heading off to college soon. We ended up making it work with him coming to see me in college because it was a closer drive, but it was still a little bit far away. One year later I ended up moving in with him and his parents in Green Bay Wisconsin. It was a little bit of an adjustment at first because this was my first time living with anyone else who wasnt family. We grew with each other over the years. After living with his family for 2 years we finally decided that it was time that we got our place with each other. It was really nice, we were able to start growing a lot more in our relationship. Fast forward another year and we started talking about getting married someday. Didnt really think that it would happen anytime soon just because we were young and I wanted to change my career from education to nursing. One day Devin brought it up that he wanted to go look at rings to see what was out there and what my style was I was excited but I didnt want to assume that it was going to happen soon. After a year of talking about and looking at the rings together, Devin asked me to go get my finger-sized. I knew at this point that it was going to happen soon I just didnt know when. Every day after that was a feeling that today could be the day. Then one day I knew that it was going to happen soon. Devin asked me to get something nice for the weekend. And he has never asked that before because I have some nice clothes already that I wear on dates. So thats when I knew it was going to happen sooner than later. Then the day came. I woke up at my normal time like I do every morning. Devin asked me if I wanted to go on a date with him later that night. He also asked me to wear the dress that I had bought a couple of weeks ago, which was A HUGE giveaway, but I didnt want the surprise to be ruined so I went along with it. After I was done getting ready, we went out for dinner and a movie. I was hoping that he wasnt going to ask at dinner or the movie just because we talked about it and that wasnt something that I would be comfortable with. I always wanted it to be just us with no one around and Devin knew that. So after dinner was over he asked me if I wanted to go to the park down the road from his parents house. This was a nice place and we got pictures done there before. We arrived at the park and we went on a little walk taking some pictures of the trees. Then we stopped at this little bridge to take a picture in front of the water. I turned around to keep walking and there Devin was on one knee. I started to cry because I wasnt expecting it at all. He gave this whole speech and asked me to marry him and of course, I said yes because he is someone that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. Fast forward to today and we are now planning our big special day.
