The drive from the Tampa airport to Lakeland / Auburndale ranges from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. Although there is always traffic on the connecting highway, it is the preferred airport to fly into because there is less traffic than the Orlando Airport.

The Orlando airport is about 1 - 1.5 hours from Lakeland / Auburndale. However, the traffic from Disney is unpredictable. It is not a bad option just keep traffic time in mind!
