So, you’re coming to Vietnam- we are so excited to share Dee’s family home country with you! But where should you go during your holiday? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Here are some top destinations you might want to consider:
Phu Quoc
One of Vietnam’s few islands and it’s a covered in beautiful beaches. Sea, sand, waterparks, cocktails and fresh seafood…what more could you want! We would suggest exploring Phu Quoc Island before or after the wedding as it really is Vietnam’s paradise!
Suggested time: 4 - 6 days
Hoi An / Da Nang
Our ‘must see’ pick for you all! Which is exactly why we are heading there after the wedding. Hoi an ancient town is a UNESCO heritage site filled with wonderful little shops, cafes and tailors ready to make you anything your heart desires. Think lanterns and markets with the perfect balance of culture and activity and the beach is just a few km down the road!

Hanoi
The grand capital of Vietnam is very different to Saigon: a mix match of old architecture and narrow streets, bustling markets and culture.
Suggested time: 1 – 3 days
Ha long bay
Pictured above, another UNESCO heritage site, ha long bay is a stunning area of ocean outside Hanoi. Spend a night or two cruising between the thousands of magnificent jutting islets taking in the gorgeous landscape and floating fishing villages.
Suggested time: 1-2 night boat tour (pick-up location Hanoi)
Hue
Hue is the ancient capital of Vietnam with its biggest attraction being the citadel with the imperial city and old palaces inside. it is a pretty city connected to Da Nang (hoi an) by the incredible Hai Van pass, one of the most beautiful stretches of coastal road in Vietnam. Travel the road by car or on the back of a motorbike and take in the incredible views.

Da Lat
Da Lat is the highlands of Vietnam so has a cooler climate. it is a small town with lakes, forest and lots of coffee! Did you know Vietnam is the second largest coffee producer in the world? Gives Italians a run for their money! You can visit coffee plantations and picturesque cafes on your travels too.

Mekong delta / Can Tho
If you’re after a more local experience, head south to the Mekong delta for some rural life along the waterways. Countryside and floating markets scattered across a vast landscape leading into Cambodia.

Cambodia
Fly, take the bus or slowly sail along the Mekong delta across to Cambodia. Lots of history to absorb in the capital Pnom Phen or there’s the amazing temple ruins of Ankor Wat in pretty Siem Riep which are a must see.

Singapore
A likely transit spot and perfect to spend a few days taking in the sites of this high end, high buzz city.

Bali
Rice terraces, beaches, beach parties, spa resorts…Bali is the ultimate chill out destination or perfect for a party – you choose! However you do it, Bali is beautiful and won’t fail to impress.

Thailand
Just a hop away, another great transit spot for some city life or head south for white sand and island paradise.
