Our Wedding

Dalton and Rachel met in May of 2020, at a family friend’s campsite in West Boggs Park. They had known about each other in high school but their paths had never crossed. Throughout the month, they went on a few group outings to get to know each other. On June 6th of 2020, sitting next to a campfire in the very same spot they met, Dalton asked Rachel to be his girlfriend. In the fall of 2021, Dalton bought a house in Loogootee and adopted their first dog Duke, a retriever mix, from the humane society. Come January, Rachel moved in and in the Spring of 2022, they adopted their second dog Pete, a miniature husky, who previously belonged to Rachel’s late grandma. They have continued to build a beautiful and fun life! In their free time, you can usually find them camping, spending time with friends and family, traveling, or hanging out with their two dogs! They’ve travelled to a total of 8 states and 1 foreign country together. Their favorites being Hawaii, Niagara Falls (Canada), and the Hatfield McCoy trails (West Virginia).&nbsp; Most recently they have both been rebuilding their faith by going to church with Rachel’s brother and sister-in-law. Dalton works full time at Crane base and Rachel works full time at Crane Credit Union, as well as running a small business. Throughout the Summer, they still enjoy camping with their dogs at West Boggs Lake where they met. During the Winter, you can usually find them at home hanging out in the garage. In March of 2024, Dalton popped the question next to the lake at West Boggs Park! West Boggs Lake has truly become a placeholder for many of their life changing memories and on June 14th, 2025, they will be tying the knot at the same place! Dalton and Rachel can’t wait to be celebrating with all of you on their big day in June!
