Dalton and Emma met three years ago under the guidance of a cupid named Madelyn Broxterman. She stated that they both had similar interests like their love for donuts and going to the gym every single day...the formula for a match made in heaven in her eyes. In their eyes too it seemed. Dalton, being a smooth talker and a lover of dad jokes slid right into Emma's Instagram messages using a picture of him sliding safely into third stating "I'm just gonna slide on in here...". Emma, also appreciating such old man humor and really enjoying the way his baseball pants fit him...accepted the message request and the rest is history. The two goofballs saw each other for about 6 months before Dalton got the nerve to ask Emma to be his girlfriend. There were many ups and downs throughout their relationship as with any relationship. They have battled many obstacles like long distance, poor internet connection during that long distance, career changes, going back to college, graduating college, pride, small fights, big fights, smelly farts, hunting season...and even splitting up for a month during the first half of 2021. (That's another story for another time.) Despite listening to their own minds and paving their own paths, God had a different plan in mind. You see, these two are soulmates, their love for each other will never cease no matter the distance, no matter the fight, heck not even breaking up can keep these two apart. God knew what He was doing even when they didn't. Their story may not be one of extreme romance and perfect plots, but they do have a happily ever after. Their story is one of service, sacrifice, and unconditional love. Dalton and Emma are two imperfect people in an imperfect relationship that has only and can only be made whole by surrendering it to God. That is exactly what they did. Dalton's love for Emma is one of service and the epitome of unconditional. Emma's love for Dalton is pure and passionate and has no end. They only learned what love really was when they let go of each other and reached out to the Father. The Father saw this, grabbed their hearts and their hands, and lead them back to each other.
