Our Wedding

Founded in 1929, Camp Ihduhapi sits on over 170 acres of pristine lakefront, wetland, and old-growth forests. Ihduhapi has several facilities (most of which will be used at the wedding), including 16 free-standing cabins, two multi-cabin complexes, a lodge and rustic sauna, conference center, equestrian center, commercial dining hall, multiple houses, and an outdoor chapel (pictured above). In October, you will be able to enjoy miles of hiking trails through forests, fields, and over boardwalks that offer stunning views of the lake and brilliant fall colors across the hills of maple trees. Jenna began working at Camp Ihduhapi in the summer of 2016 between semesters of college at Gustavus. She began as the Lead Wrangler for Ihduhapi's horse program, which at the time served around 60 horse campers a day in the summer months. The job called her back year after year, and with consistent work she was able to grow the program to accommodate more horses, campers, staff, and programs. Around the same time, Dan graduated from Kent State University in Ohio in 2016. After college, he travelled further north to pursue a master's degree in communication studies at UW-Steven's Point, which he completed in 2018. He decided to continue in higher education and attended the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee in 2019, where Jenna was also starting her master's degree. This is where the stars aligned. Jenna and Dan shared an office with a few other Teaching Assistants in the communication program at UW-Milwaukee. As fate would have it, their office desks sat right next to one another, and one thing led to another. Just before the pandemic, Jenna and Dan moved in together (and thankfully didn't have so spend "lockdown" alone). Starting in 2020, Dan began spending summers in Minnesota with Jenna, and he also started working with the horse program at Camp Ihduhapi. In a few short years, Jenna and Dan built Ihduhapi's horse program from a summer-only job to a full-time, year-round gig. Together they expanded programming from summer camp, to riding lessons, to trail rides, and so much more. They provide equestrian experiences to hundreds of kids, teens, and adults every year. in 2023, Jenna became the first female Property Manager for an overnight and day camp at the YMCA of the North. In this role, she oversaw all properties and facilities for YMCA Camps Ihduhapi (Loretto, MN); Manitou (Monticello, MN); and Christmas Tree (Mound, MN). At the same time, Dan fully took the reins as director of Ihduhapi's Horse and Farm Programming, and the couple moved into a house on Ihduhapi's property. Recently, in July of 2025, Jenna accepted a new role as Operations Director for a private horse farm in Delano. The couple has since moved to a beautiful home close to that property. Dan remains leading Ihduhapi's horse programs, and Jenna continues to support Ihduhapi's riding lessons and coaches on Ihduhapi's brand-new Equestrian Team.

We have multiple accommodation options at the best venue in the world... Camp Ihduhapi! Accommodations would be available Friday and/or Saturday night. We are asking a suggested fee for each level of accommodation, but this is not required—we welcome anyone who wants to stay with us onsite. If you are interested in any of these options, you will be able to indicate that on your RSVP once official invitations are mailed. Accommodation options include: Private Rustic Cabins ($20/night)·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Cabins are fully heated and air conditioned.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Cabins sleep up to 10 people. Each couple or family can have a cabin all to themselves.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Beds and mattresses included, but bring your own bedding and linens.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Cabins do not have individual bathrooms but you would have access to a shared bathhouse.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Cabins have easy access to multiple fire pits and have gorgeous overlooks of the lake. Private Room in a Shared Cabin ($50/night)·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;We have 5 private rooms available in one large but cozy cabin, the “Gnome Home!”·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Two bedrooms have full, private bathrooms. One can sleep up to 6 comfortably and one sleeps 2 comfortably.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Two bedrooms have private half baths with no shower and can sleep 2 comfortably.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;One bedroom has a private sink but no bathroom attached and sleeps 2 comfortably.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Anyone interested in a private room in the Gnome Home should be open to sharing their bathroom with others.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The Gnome Home also features two shared gathering spaces and is right next to the Dining Hall and ceremony spaces! Fully heated and air conditioned. Shared Cabin with Attached Bathhouse ($40/night)·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The “Bunkhouse” is a complex with 3 cabins and two large bathroom facilities, all connected by a large common room with a fireplace.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;One cabin in the Bunkhouse comfortably sleeps 12 people.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Fully heated and air conditioned. Bring your own Accommodation! ($10/night)·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;That’s right, we have space for your RV!·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;We may be able to offer electricity and water hookups, but cannot offer sewer hookup.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;You’re also welcome to tent out at one of our campsites—this option is free for anyone looking to rough it!

Things to do at Camp

With over 170 acres to roam, there is a lot of opportunity to connect with nature right at our venue. All activities listed below are available for guests Friday night after 5:00 PM until Sunday morning around noon. All activities are free, but keep in mind this isn’t just any wedding venue—this is a place Dan & Jenna call work and home, so please keep all spaces clean and leave them just as you found them. Around camp, you can find: ·      Several fire pits stocked with firewood and kindling. ·      Board games inside several buildings (feel free to bring your own as well). ·      Outdoor/lawn games like cornhole and ladder golf (feel free to bring your own as well), a soccer field with nets, basketball court, sand volleyball court, and two gaga ball pits (iykyk). ·      Several miles with hiking trails (maps will be provided or find them here). ·      Rustic sauna on the beach that will run Friday night! ·      Dan and Jenna would also love to give a tour of their favorite place at camp—the horse barn! Please note some hiking trails will take you past the barn, but interacting with the horses and animals is off-limits without a trained camp staff member. ~Please see the itinerary to find out when you can enjoy what camp has to offer!~

Emagine Delano

The Luce Line State Trail is a 63-mile-long former railroad grade that is popular&nbsp;for biking, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking and snowmobiling. The crushed limestone&nbsp;trail runs from Plymouth 30 miles west to the McLeod/Carver County line, with a parallel&nbsp;trail for horseback riding. Camp Ihduhapi sits in a perfect position to access these trails, with trail connections that go right past Ihuhapi! If you're interested in renting a bike to hit the trails, there are several locations nearby (here is a link one option nearby <a href="https://www.gearwest.com/pages/rentals" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Rentals – Gear West</a>).
