We didn’t meet in a coffee shop or on a dating app — we met in the church office, somewhere between planning Sunday services and major events. We started as coworkers who genuinely enjoyed collaborating and joking through the busy moments. At first, it was all ministry conversations, event logistics, and “Hey, can you help me with this?”
Over time, something shifted. Lunch breaks turned into conversations we didn’t want to end. Quick check-ins became the highlight of our day. We found ourselves staying after meetings just to talk, realizing slowly (and then suddenly) that this connection was becoming something more than teamwork.
We started dating quietly, trying to make sure we were respectful of our workplace and community. But it didn’t take long before our friends noticed the smiles, the extra coffee runs, and the way we showed up for each other. And somewhere between Sunday mornings, shared prayers, and late-night event tear-downs, we fell in love.
Church brought us together, but faith, friendship, and a whole lot of laughter built the foundation of our life together. We’re grateful for every moment that led to this one — and we can’t wait to celebrate the start of our forever with you.
It all started with a simple question from Josh:
“Hey… want to go to a Forest Frank concert?”
Since Forest Frank is one of our favorite worship artists, Dana said yes without a second thought. Somewhere between singing along, laughing way too much, and pretending we weren’t noticing the sparks, something definitely started happening.
A few days later, Josh realized just how much he liked Dana and wanted to be more than just a friend — and he decided not to overthink it. And asked her out, she said yes, and the rest… well, you’re here for the ending of that story.
On October 24, 2025, Dana had absolutely no idea what was coming. Josh told her to get dressed for a nice dinner and be ready by 4:30 p.m., but once they got in the car, the “mystery date” began. With her eyes closed per Josh’s request, he guided her carefully down the Asilomar walking trail. When he finally told her to open her eyes, she found Josh down on one knee at the very spot where their story first began. Surprised, teary, and completely overjoyed, she said yes!
