When should we arrive?
Come early, stay late... we're leaving it up to you! Use our celebration as a means to getaway for a while :) Taylor & Dana will arrive on Wednesday June 5th and will stay through Monday the 10th.
What airport do we fly into?
Fort Myers - RSW is the shortest distance from the Sanibel Island Causeway. You can fly whatever airline you'd prefer! We will be flying Southwest.
Do you have a wedding block?
No, not enough people RSVPed to hotels for us to be able to secure a wedding block. The hotels we recommend are posted under Travel & Accommodations.
Do we need a rental car?
It depends on your stay and what activities you'd like to do! You can get a rental car from the airport once you land or use Uber/Lift. Once you're on the island there are many rentals available. Many people just use the island taxis, golf carts, bikes, etc since the island is so small. We've linked some options on the Transportation page :) You'll definitely want a rental car if you're planning a stay inland and need to cross the causeway to get onto the island. Keep in mind that there is a toll every time you take the bridge! We HIGHLY recommend creating a free Gold Membership with Hertz for easy pickup and drop off at the airport.
Are kids allowed at the wedding?
Of course they are! But we also understand if you'd rather make our wedding week a couples getaway.
Will there be meal options for kids?
Yes! Adults will be having whatever chosen entree from the RSVP, while kids will have the option of pizza, chicken strips, or a burger. You can decide right at dinner what they would like to have :)
What should I wear?
We're hoping for semi-formal or formal attire on wedding day! Keep it bright & beachy! The ceremony is on the beach and there will be a "barefoot station" so you can be shoeless with us :) Guys, please wear pants to the ceremony! If you want more direction, here's a link to a Pinterest board with some inspo with our color scheme! https://pin.it/PcPYYfSzL
Via Brides.com - "In general, stick with lighter colors and/or bold prints, and absolutely avoid denim, cargo, swim shorts, and cotton T-shirts. This is also the only instance when sandals may be acceptable, but ensure your feet are well-manicured before considering an open-toe look. If not, wear a deck shoe or loafer, never sneakers."
What are your wedding colors?
We’re keeping it tropical feeling - Fuchsia and pinks, orange and golds, and lots of greens!
Is there a bridal party?
Nope! You are all our honorary guests & we’re thankful you can be present on our wedding day!
What's the Welcome Dinner?
We're inviting all of our guests who will be in Sanibel with us Friday to come to a local restaurant and eat/hang out with us! Most people are attending and it will be very casual!
