Patrick and Dana met at a Friendsgiving celebration that a mutual friend hosted their last year at JMU. Over the following weeks, they quickly grew closer through game nights, movie nights, and JMU football games with friends. Not before long they were going on dates, hikes, and meeting each other's families.

After graduation, they supported each other from a distance as they continued their relationship in two different cities, visiting every chance they could. After a year Patrick relocated to Northern Virginia to close the distance between them.

In 2020, they expanded their family by getting Duke, their adorable goldendoodle. Duke keeps them on their toes and lives for fetch with Dana and Patrick.

In 2022, Patrick and Dana decided that city living wasn't for them, so they bought a house outside of Charlottesville. Perfect with a fenced in yard for Duke. Over Dana's spring break they planned to go to the Great Smoky Mountains, where Patrick proposed on a hike. They're excited to be planning this next chapter of their lives together.
