Our Wedding

How it all began: Dana and Greg met in 2019 on a little thing called Hinge. Both were very hesitant to meet people on a dating app, but Dana’s friend Meg and Greg’s friend Christianna talked them each into it and voila! Dana and Greg talked back and forth for a few weeks before Dana decided she would make the trip to Annapolis and grab lunch with Greg at a spot called Light House Bistro. If you ask Greg-his first impression was that Dana was an absolute awful driver. Whipping down West Street in her silver Elantra and running late because of course no parking available-finally meeting up outside the restaurant. Dana’s first impression was that Greg was somehow even more handsome in person than on his Hinge account. Every hair in place, the most welcoming smile, wearing a very dapper peacoat-this man knew how to present himself. Conversation at lunch came very easy and it was truly a wonderful first date. At the end of their date they parted ways and minutes later Dana texted Greg saying she had a great time and would love to make plans again, but if it’s not mutual no hard feelings. Greg knew he was in trouble that it took Dana so little time to initiate date two. And so it began-Dana and Greg spent every weekend together and two days a week together turned into four days a week together turned into four years later Greg popping the question. Leading up to the proposal: Dana and Greg love to travel and frequented Napa with their friends. In 2021 on their first trip out to wine country Dana just knew Greg was going to ask her. He did not. When Greg and Dana went back to Napa for the second time in 2022, Dana was just as certain that this time Greg would ask the question. Greg again did not. On their third time back to Napa in October 2023, Dana thought, surely THIS IS IT-it’s going to happen! No, it in fact, did not. Then in November of 2023 on a trip to the Bahamas to celebrate the birthday of one of their best friends, he walked Dana down a pier before dinner, got down on one knee and Dana had never been more surprised in her entire life. All of their very best friends were on this trip and were watching nearby on the beach where Cito, the birthday boy, so graciously let Greg hijack night one of his Bahamian birthday celebration. Their friends and even hotel guests began cheering when they knew Dana said YES! It was more special than any Napa proposal could have ever been.
