The story of Dana and David began as most do in the 21st century - with a dating app. In early 2018, they ventured onto Bumble and both swiped right. After learning Dana had to make the first move, she struck up a conversation about David visiting her hometown of San Diego, CA from a picture she saw on his profile. Dana and David talked on the phone for a solid week before meeting in person. And since that very moment, David still hasn’t stopped talking. By David’s account, if he “wasn’t being catfished” he had just “found the woman he was going to marry.” Dana was a little less sure. She was ready to take things slow and see where it led.

David’s passion, energy, and loving nature had won her over and after a year of dating long distance, they moved in together. In late 2019, Dana moved from Cooperstown, NY to Albany, NY. She found a new OR nursing gig and David was thriving in real estate. The COVID lockdown of 2020 was a true test to their relationship. Despite the stress and unknown, they came out the other side feeling stronger than ever.

2021 started off with a bang as Dana and David closed on their new home together. In May of that year they planned a vacation to San Diego, where David popped the question! Dana was thoroughly convinced a proposal wasn’t happening despite the trip coinciding on their 3 year anniversary and multiple friends asking her if she thought it was going to happen. They spent the rest of vacation celebrating their love with friends and family before heading back to the East Coast.

The most difficult decision they encountered was where to have their wedding! With the help of Rachelle (Dana’s mom) they decided on a fall wedding in New York. One trip to June Farms and David knew it was everything he had ever wanted for a wedding. It took no convincing Dana and everything began to fall into place.

We are so thrilled to have friends and family coming from all over the country to join us on our wedding day! We couldn’t be more excited to begin this next chapter of our lives. Can’t wait to see all of you in October!
