Once upon a time, little Vladi at age 15 moved to Woodbury, Minnesota from the Ukraine with his mother and brother. Dana and Vladi went to the same high school together and ran into each other every now and then but had no real interactions. Fast forward 10 years, Dana decided to move to Costa Mesa, California after completing her Occupational Therapy program in Minneapolis. Dana and her friend Claire went to this little tiny diner to get a late breakfast after having a few too many drinks the night before. As Dana was minding her own business awaiting her food, Vladi suddenly appeared and said, "Hey didn't we go to high school together back in Woodbury, MN?" Dana and Vladi exchanged numbers and Dana said her face hurt from smiling so big after their encounter. That day, Vladi told Dana he had been invited to go to that particular diner every Saturday for the past few years and he never went until then, and he was glad he did. They went on their first date about a week later and the rest is pretty much history!
