Our Wedding

Brett and Dana officially met for the first time in August 2016 while attending Guilford College in Greensboro NC. They were introduced by Dana's roommate Gabi at a back to school hang out at Dana's suite in Bryan Hall. The pair began to hangout more in the Spring semester in 2017 and became friends. In the fall 2017, they had a mutual class and sat next to each other. This class was every Tuesday and Friday so they would discuss Monday and Thursday night football together and that was enough for Brett to be interested in becoming more than friends. Brett even enrolled to be a participant in Dana's thesis research. He would hang out with her in the microbiology lab late night and weekends before finally going on a first date. They went to Jam's Deli in November 2017 which would become a regular spot for them. Dana and Brett greatly enjoyed their time together dating during Dana's super senior year and Brett's senior year at Guilford making lots of memories and building their relationship. The couple would do long distance starting August 2019 when Dana moved to Fort Myers FL to start PA school. Brett would move out of North Carolina for the first time and join Dana one year later in August 2020. Dana and Brett consider themselves lucky that they were able to live with Dana's parents Rick and Lisa for an extended period of time while Dana was in school so they could save up. The couple's favorite thing they ever did was get a puppy together in June 2022. There were many names discussed but ultimately Brett was satisfied with the name Harper. They both love Harper so much and feel that she has brought so much love and light into their lives. Thankfully, after all the saving, Brett and Dana were able to purchase their first home in September 2022 in Fort Myers FL. On February 4, 2023, Brett asked Dana to marry him by the bay in Naples FL. They are both so excited to be able to celebrate with all of their families and closest friends during their favorite time of year in Florida. Naturally their wedding will take place during Pro Bowl weekend not to interfere with the SuperBowl .
