Dana & Josh

May 25, 2024 • Minneapolis, MN

September 2021 Josh booked a two week trip to his hometown state of Minnesota from NYC. In the midst of over 50 meetings with friends and family, Josh got a message on a dating app from Dana. They started talking, questioned whether long distance could work, and within those two weeks they went on four dates. A year and eight months of long distance, Dana's three trips to NYC, Josh's four trips back to MN, a meet up in Iowa, and four months of in-person dating in MN later, he popped the question at the park where they first met. She said YES (before he even got down on one knee)!

We are stunned by the faithfulness of the Lord to us in our relationship and cannot wait to see His plan for us in the future!

We look forward to celebrating with you!

"The Napkin Letter." After our fourth date, Josh went back to New York and we had no idea whether we would ever see each other again—cue dramatic rom-com music. So he wrote a letter on the only thing nearby—a napkin—cue the "awww" soundboard effect. We are thankful to have such a sweet part of our relationship memorialized.

"The Proposal." In honor of The Napkin Letter from our beginnings, Josh wrote this poem on a napkin and framed it for the proposal. This is why I said yes before he asked me to marry him! Another treasure we'll keep for a lifetime.
