Danae bought a house, made of brick, back in January 2023 and was anxious to find a trustworthy roommate for good company and to cut down costs of living. While she was talking to a coworker about this, the coworker mentioned that she had been helping another coworker's little brother, "Josh", with finding a place to live near work and at a reasonable price. Danae had seen Josh at work once or twice and thought, "Arin is cool, and her little brother seems alright too." Danae and Josh spoke that day and arranged a plan to meet to go over details about the house and living situation. Josh recalls going to Danae's current house and finding her in ski clothes, snow burnt and eating wings as her dog Honey Bee investigated his intentions. Not what he was expecting, nor was he deterred by the sight. Needless to say, they agreed to be roommates and quickly became best friends with shared interests of lifting, hiking, craft beer-ing, vinyl playing, book collecting, dog loving, and venting about work. Just a few things to bond over ;) Josh was patient as his feelings for Danae grew, knowing she had stone walls around her heart. Countless hours and days of building their house into a home, adopting a second dog, Stormy, fixing and updating the house and yard together, getting matching brick shithouse tattoos and a few tequila shots later- the inevitable happened. They fell in love. Not your conventional story, but nothing about them is quite conventional. Having lived joyously and cohesively together for 8 months already, feeling the overwhelming desire to be together forever after 6 weeks of official dating didn't seem too fast. Danae gave Josh her mother's engagement ring she'd had for years and told him she wanted to marry him. So, Josh got on one knee with the dogs wrestling at their feet and completed the gesture. And so, they are to be wed and live happily ever after with you as witness. We look forward to seeing everyone at the wedding!
