Dane and Laura met in Xi’an, China in September 2014. Where they both were teaching English to Chinese children. An unforgettable experience.

In November Laura returned to the UK and in December Dane returned to The Netherlands. They reunited for their first date on New Years Eve, in Edinburgh.

On the 5th January 2015 Dane and Laura were official. They started their relationship managing long distance.

Dane went traveling, exploring Australia and Indonesia and in June 2015 they reunited for their first holiday, in The Philippines, exploring Borocay.

Between 2015-2016 Dane was studying in St Andrews and Laura was working in Newcastle. They managed the long distance well, using Edinburgh as their meeting place. They fell in love with Edinburgh and moved there together in August 2016.

Thereafter , Dane and Laura bought their first home together in Edinburgh, a home where they became parents to their beloved dog, Dora.

On the 29th October 2022, in Loch Lomond, Scotland, Dane (with the help of Dora) asked Laura to marry him. What a magical moment.

At the end of 2022, Dane accepted a job with Heineken in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. They moved there the beginning of 2023.

Dane, Laura and Dora are settled and are enjoying life in Amsterdam. So it was time for wedding planning.

The couple get married on the 13th July 2024, at Merewood Country House Hotel, The Lake District, UK. They look forward to celebrating with you all.

For now, the adventure for Dane, Laura and Dora continues …
