Sophomore year Dane and Chloe at the same Young Life party!

Their paths didn't cross here but they would go on a blind double date in February 2020 (unfortunately we don't have a picture of this gem of a night but we will make up for it later!) The date went well! But neither felt interested beyond a first date and shortly after everyone was sent home due to Covid shutting down their school.

Over the next 2 years, Dane and Chloe would be in similar friend groups but their paths never really crossed. In the spring of their senior year, both of them decided to return to Miami University after graduation to serve an internship with the ministry they had been involved in during their undergrad. This photo was taken at their internship orientation. Coincidently, the other three people in this photo would play significant roles in us eventually dating (and are all in the bridal party!)

In the fall of their intern year, Dane and Chloe were on the same intramural volleyball team but didn't see each other much aside from that. It wasn't until their friends Katie and Ryan got married in December that moves were made.

Their friends and staff team had been nudging both Chloe and Dane to get together. The night of Katie & Ryan's wedding Dane decided he had nothing to lose so he struck up conversation with Chloe towards the end of the night. When their conversation got interrupted, Dane texted Chloe later that night asking if they could finish up the conversation over coffee soon. Chloe agreed to coffee wondering if this was a date or a friendly hangout.

After getting coffee, Dane asked Chloe to go on an official date. They went to dinner and the Cincinnati Zoo's Festival of Lights. Both were nervous and unsure about the other but knew they admired the other's walk with the Lord.

Chloe and Dane continued to go on dates and getting to know each other better. It quickly became easy and fun to be together to both of their surprise. Lots of difficult but good conversations were had as they tried to discern if they should become official.

They made it official on February 4 and from there the fun began! Chloe and Dane at Panama City for Miami Cru's mission trip.

Now years later, they returned to the bowling alley where they went on that initial blind double date. Except this time around, both of them had a sense that this was going to be a forever kind of thing.

The summer was full of weddings, doing distance, and spending time with eachother's families as Dane and Chloe found a best friend in each other.

Dane pulled off the best proposal followed by a party with their family and friends.
