Dani: Joseph and I had our first conversation on May 10th, and the first things to draw me in were his smile and the photos of him holding potbelly piglets. Since women made the first move on this dating app, our first interaction was my needing details.

At the time, I was fresh to braces and quite self-conscious about them, and I figured I'd be single until they came off. I ramble when I'm nervous, and we had our first date at the Harry Potter themed coffee shop, and I was sure I had put my foot in my mouth (I didn't). By the time we reached our second date and many conversations in between, I realized that Joseph was someone who was easy to like and could be even easier to love.

I was intentionally single for a long time, and it wasn't always comfortable, but it was worth it. When I met Joseph, I knew what I wanted and, more importantly, what I didn't, and he continues to exceed my expectations.

Joseph: I felt pretty early on that Dani was something special. Seeing her smile, her expressiveness, and how much enjoyment she got from life.

When we first started talking, it was only a couple of days after my birthday and not long after my trip to Japan, so she naturally mentioned the pig cafe pictures. :) Our mutual love for Harry Potter and fantasy novels was noticeable right away, and so I suggested The Creatures's Cauldron for our first date. Unfortunately, it is no longer around, but I got one of their menus framed for us to always remember it. Of course, things grew from there. Every day, and every trip and adventure we have taken, is a reminder of how we are meant to be together. Online dating can be random sometimes, but Bumble really showed me the right match this time.

I only wish that I had met her sooner so that we could experience more adventures and more of our lives together. But I realize that if I had, we wouldn't be who we are now, and wouldn't be what we are together.
