Kyler and I first unofficially met during our freshman year of high school when we had English together. The following year we had chemistry together and our Junior year we had pre-calculus together. This was the class where we both started noticing each other.
The summer after our Junior year, Kyler asked one of his friends for my snapchat. We talked for a few days and hung out twice that summer. They were fun times but I ultimately friend zoned him. During senior year of highschool we would talk every now and then, always staying in touch. In May of our Senior year, Kyler randomly texted me asking about the name of a song. Turns out he had the song on his phone the whole time. We continued to talk and even planned a real date at the drive in where we saw Aladdin and Toy Story 4. About a week or two later we made it offical on June 14th of 2019 and have been together since!
Knowing Dani and how she can’t stand not knowing what’s happening, I had to fool everyone. I told her parents, my family, and our friends that I would propose on a Saturday. I knew the weather was gonna be bad that day but Friday was going to be really nice out. I did this so that if she actually got someone to crack and tell her, she’d be surprised no matter what. And it worked BEAUTIFULLY! I took her to long run park where we went on a walk and talked about our day. The whole time I was messing with the ring in my pocket trying to calm down.
When we got back to the car I said “let’s go down by the water, it’s really pretty today”. So we went down there and walked around. As she’s looking away I take off my bracelet. Now this bracelet was a birthday gift from her and the point of it was to make a wish and take it off when that wish came true. My wish was to propose to her. When she turned back around I placed it in her hand and for a second she stood there confused, but when it clicked she started freaking out. It was then where I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me.
