Ahlström Noormarkku is not just any wedding location. Dating back as far as 1402 and originally an ironworks area, it was purchased in 1870 by Antti Ahlström. Antti was a businessman from the Merikarvia area, and happens to be Dani's great-great-grandfather.
The Ahlström family built three renowned family residences on the estate. Isotalo with it’s famous staircase and haunted tower, where we will enjoy the wedding dinner, was built in 1881. The beautiful Havulinna from 1901, where we will celebrate on Saturday night, was the childhood home for Dani’s grandfather Tom. Villa Mairea, designed by world famous architect Alvar Aalto and his wife Aino Aalto was finished in 1939 and is bookable for an architectural tour.
Today, the area houses a museum, a restaurant and a number of guest houses.
Ahlström Noormarkku offers a variety of activities on and around its area, including but not limited to:
- Ahlström Voyage Exhibition (historical tour of the Ahlström family company, and its impact on the industrialisation of Finland)
- Architectural Tour (including a visit to the world-famous Villa Mairea)

- Tennis
- Sauna
Should you wish to do any of the above activities, please get in touch with Tiina Rajala (tiina.rajala@a-ahlstrom.fi) regarding bookings.
