Are guests required to stay at the resort?
While it is our great hope and desire that our guests stay at our resort to maximize our time with our loved ones, guests may stay wherever they prefer.
By what date do we need to reserve accommodations?
July 1, 2024 is the last date to take advantage of the discounted resort room block for our party.
What's the minimum required stay?
In order to take advantage of the discounted room block, the minimum stay is three nights.
How are the check-in and check-out dates determined?
The check-in dates and check-out dates are determined by our "wedding program." Those program dates are 8/15-8/22 and in order to offer flexibility for everyone's schedules, the hotel has extended the discounted room block to three days prior and three days after our particular program dates, therefore booking at the discounted rate can be from 8/12/-8/25.
Are other guests willing to share a villa?
Yes! We are already aware of many people who would like to share a villa. Just reach out to Dani for coordination.
Is there child care for resort and other vacation guests?
The concierge at Koloa Landing Resort gave us a couple trusted options: 1) CHILD CARE SERVICE, owner: Michelle Kemmler, phone: 808-631-6882 (call or text). 2) CHILDCARE KAUAI, babysitting, child care, nanny service for Kauai resort and vacation guests, www.childcarekauai.com, owner: Terrie Terrill, Terrie: 808-635-4659, Lorna: 360-909-8719, "We specialize in vacation childcare."
What is the destination airport?
Fly into Lihue, Kaua'i, Hawaii (LIH).
How far away is the resort from the airport?
From Lihue Airport to Koloa Landing Resort is 13.6 road miles--approximately a 25 minute drive.
Do guests need to rent a car?
For those guests who want to explore the island, we strongly encourage guests to rent a car since taxis, Ubers, Lyfts, and the like are not as available on Kaua'i.
Does the resort have a shuttle?
Koloa Landing Resort does offer shuttle service for resort guests. It is an on-demand shuttle service that will take resort guests anywhere within a five mile radius of the resort. If you are a resort guest, just dial the front desk and ask to schedule shuttle service. For resort guests who want to explore the island, we do strongly encourage a car rental.

Aloha Spirit Kauai Poipu Shuttle

Based on Yelp, this is a free (tips encouraged and appreciated) local, privately-run shuttle service that is fun to take. I called the phone number and the message service informed me that it runs from 5:00-10:00 p.m. (just call the number for a lift) and there is also a 45 minute sunset ride along the South Shore before dinner. On Yelp, someone mentioned that this was $25 and made stops at Shipwreck Beach and Spouting Horn.
