While You're in Town…

We are so happy you’re traveling to celebrate with us! Since our wedding is during Spring Break, San Antonio will be buzzing with energy. If you have some extra time, here are a few of our favorite spots to explore:

Right in the Neighborhood (Near SeaWorld)

SeaWorld & Aquatica: Since you’re staying close by, this is the ultimate spot for family fun. Even if you aren't doing the full park, the nearby area is packed with great family dining.

The Shops at La Cantera: An open-air, upscale shopping center that is perfect for a sunny Spring Break afternoon. It has great restaurants, boutiques, and a beautiful outdoor atmosphere.

Government Canyon State Natural Area: If you’re looking to stretch your legs, this is a local favorite. It offers rugged trails, beautiful canyons, and a glimpse of the Texas hill country landscape.

The "Classic" San Antonio Experiences

The River Walk: A trip to San Antonio isn’t complete without a stroll along the River Walk. We recommend grabbing a coffee or a margarita, enjoying the historic architecture, and maybe taking a Go Rio boat tour to see the city from the water.

The Pearl District: This is our favorite "foodie" spot. It’s a beautifully restored historic brewery complex filled with local shops, fantastic restaurants, and a farmers market on the weekends.

The San Antonio Missions: For a bit of history, take a drive to the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage site and offers a beautiful, peaceful look at the city’s roots.

A Taste of the Hill Country

Explore Boerne: If you want to see the "ranch" side of Texas, take a short 20-minute drive north to Boerne. The downtown "Hill Country Mile" is filled with charming antique shops, cute cafes, and authentic Texas flair.

Friedrich Wilderness Park: If you love hiking, this park offers the best trails in the area. It’s hilly, scenic, and feels miles away from the city.

A Note on Spring Break

Because San Antonio is a popular destination during Spring Break, popular spots (especially the River Walk and SeaWorld) can get very busy!

Pro-Tip: If you plan on doing a big dinner at The Pearl or a tour at The Alamo, we highly recommend booking your reservations online in advance. ***
