I still remember the first time I met Mason. My heart was pounding, my hands were fidgety, and every word felt like it might tumble out wrong. There was something about him—an energy, a warmth—that made me both nervous and excited. Our eyes met, and in that instant, the world seemed to pause. I tried to play it cool, but inside, I was a whirlwind of emotions. That first meeting was filled with shy glances and hesitant smiles, but it planted the seed for something extraordinary. I had always been cautious with my heart, building walls to keep it safe. But with Mason, those walls began to crumble. He saw through my defenses, patiently waiting for me to trust him. Every conversation, every laugh, every moment together chipped away at my fears. Mason made it easy to be vulnerable—he listened, understood, and never judged. Slowly, I let him in, and in doing so, I discovered a new kind of love: one built on trust, honesty, and acceptance. The moment I truly knew Mason was the one was when I heard him sing for the first time in church. His voice was pure, filled with emotion and faith. As the notes soared, I felt a deep sense of peace and certainty wash over me. It was as if his song was meant just for me, a message from the universe confirming what my heart already knew. In that moment, I realized I wanted to share every part of my life with him. With Mason by my side, I am the best version of myself. When I first met Danny, I was at an interesting point in my life. I was in my final year of college and just starting to come to terms with my sexuality. Having been bullied for years by people who thought I was gay before I even realized it had caused me to put up many walls that I was starting to scratch at.&nbsp; During our first date, I was so nervous I would mess something up. Would I say something wrong? Would my awkwardness put him off? By the end of the date, though, things had gone better than I had anticipated. He didn't just listen to what I had to say, but heard me as well. He understood what I was going through and was not only encouraging but also accepting of me for who I was. A few days before my birthday, my mom had asked me if there was anyone I wanted to invite to my birthday dinner. I racked my brain for anyone I could think of, but the only person I could think of was Danny. That was the moment I knew I wanted to have a relationship with him. In such a short amount of time, he had become someone I cared so much about that I didn't know what else to do about it besides ask him out. The love only grew the first time I visited his house. At least that was the plan. My engine started smoking about 10 minutes away, and I was extremely nervous. Not only did he drive to where I am and sat with me in the car while we waited for the tow truck to arrive and as I called my parents and told them what happened and came out to them, but he drove me back to my dorm and stayed the night to make sure I was okay. Like any couple, we have our rough patches. We disagree, we fight, but in the end, we always make up and never go to bed mad with each other. No matter how many disasters we find ourselves in, I know he's there for me and that if I fall, he's diving headfirst after me. My life isn't the easiest to be a part of, but Danny has stuck through every curveball that's been thrown at him. He accepts me for who I am, and that's more than I could have ever asked for. We both have room to grow, but there isn't anyone I'd rather grow alongside.

Jay is the kind of friend everyone wishes they had. My side is him through all my college years—cheering me on, keeping me grounded, and always ready with some honest advice (even when I didn’t want to hear it). Jay’s the first to drag me out for a nature hike when I need a break, reminding me to appreciate the world around us. And when it comes to Smash Bros., he never backs down from a challenge—win or lose, he makes every match unforgettable. Warm, genuine, and always there when I need him, Jay is truly one of a kind.

Jay 

I may have only known Brendon for about 2 years, but he has quickly become one of my favorite people to be be around. He has such a warm and inviting aura that draws you in keeps you on your toes. He's kind, funny, and always there for ya if ya need him. He's there for you when you need him, and he's not afraid to give his opinion if ya ask for it. Just be ready for a plethora of dad joke's when he's around. He literally has one for any occassion. 

Brendon

I’m so lucky to have an older sister like Katalin. She’s incredibly athletic and has always been passionate about sports—she even played softball with such dedication and skill. Beyond her athleticism, Katalin is genuinely a wonderful sister and a fantastic mother, always showing love, strength, and kindness to everyone around her. In addition to all that, she serves proudly in the Navy, balancing her commitments with grace and courage. She inspires me every day with her strength, heart, and unwavering support.

Katalin 

Jenna is honestly the best big sister I could have ever asked for. She's an amazing artist, who just keeps getting better! If it weren't for here, I wouldn't have the love for Japanese culture and cuisine I have today. Not to mention being able to read manga correctly. We may have been through some rough patches (first 14 years of my life), but I know she'll always be there for me. No matter what happens, or what curveball I throw at her.

Jenna

Derek is the definition of adventurous and ambitious—always chasing the next big thrill or dream. He’s a die-hard Cubs fan and a genuine baseball enthusiast, ready to talk stats or catch a game at any time. Some of our best memories are the epic bonfires at his place, where laughter and stories lasted late into the night. And let’s not forget the legendary pranks we pulled together—no one was ever safe when Derek was around! He’s fantastic, full of energy, and always up for making life a little more exciting.

Derek

If you'd asked me if I thought I'd ever find someone with the same brain as me, I'd have called your bluff. Turns out Rigby is that person. It's honestly a bit scary at times how much alike we are with how our brain works, but that just means we're able to handle each other's crazy. He's been an amazing rock when life is taking it's toll and always finds a way to cheer me up when I'm being hard on myself. Silly, loving, and loyal to a fault. If he cares about you, there's nothing he won't do for ya. 

Rigby

Meet my younger sister, Roo—the free spirit of our family and the reigning queen of kind-heartedness. Roo’s the type who will stop to admire a wildflower, then explain its scientific name just for fun. Her love for education is matched only by her passion for the little things in life and nature. You are most likely to find her talking to butterflies, admiring nature, or states away on a random road trip . With Roo, every day is an adventure, and her laughter and warmth make the world a brighter, wilder, and much more interesting place to be.

Sarah has known me since middle school, so she's seen it all. She's always had my back throughout school from my time as, "The gayest straight guy you know" in our friend group to our " Poncho Daughter" field trip group, she's seen it all and has stuck by me through it all. Kind, caring, and always up for an adventure. I couldn't ask for a better friend to grow with like I have.

Sarah

Meet Brody: gamer extraordinaire, future degree-holder, and the reigning champion of kindness. Whether he’s leveling up in his favorite game or hitting the books, Brody somehow manages to be both hilarious and supportive—think of him as your hype man with a headset. He’s the guy who’ll pause a boss fight to help you out, and then crack a joke to make you laugh. With Brody around, every day is a little more fun, a lot more encouraging, and never boring

Jamie has been an amazing friend over the past few years. He was one of the people who immediatly welcomed me into our weekly game night group without question. His charm will pulls people in, and his kindness is without bounds, but don't that fool ya. He's one of the first to throw a bit of chaos into the mix like a smoke bomb out of nowhere. Just make sure to keep an eye out for him on the dance floor. He may just start showing off some of his more interesting dance moves to liven up the party.

Jamie

Meet Jessica: equal parts genius and pop culture connoisseur. Her intelligence is only rivaled by her passion for books (she’s probably read more this month than most people do in a year), her encyclopedic knowledge of movies, and her unwavering devotion to BTS—seriously, don’t challenge her to a lyric-off. When she’s not recommending her latest literary obsession or dissecting film plots, you’ll find her gleefully watching me get chased by killers in Dead by Daylight, offering witty commentary and moral support from the safety of the couch.

Jessica

Devan has been a close friend of mine since high school. The newest addition to our friend group at the time, she wasn't scared away by both the nerdiness and insanity that often came up when we were together. On top of that, I don't think I would have made through some of our Japanese tests senior year without her, and definetly wouldn't have attempted the AP test if she hadn't convinced me (still ended up getting a 1, but atleast I tried). I know I can always count on her to be there for me if I need her. Just be mindful of your cups of ice when she's around.

It’s easily accessible via I-75 — take exit 125 (Georgetown/Paris), then follow signs for KY-460 E and Soards Road. Ample parking is available on-site. By Air:The closest airport is Blue Grass Airport (LEX) in Lexington, KY, approximately 30–35 minutes from Queenslake. Additional airport options include Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG), both about 1.5 hours away. Ride Services:Uber and Lyft operate in the area, but availability may be limited in rural zones. We recommend scheduling transportation in advance if you're not driving.
