Allie and Daniel met on Hinge in 2022. Allie saw a picture of Daniel at a famous fountain in Charleston, so she started a conversation which led to their first date at Union Kitchen on March 18, 2022, the day after St. Patrick's Day. A lucky day indeed! The first thing Daniel noticed about Allie was her smile. The first thing Allie noticed about Daniel were his eyes and how comfortable the conversation felt. Allie and Daniel had a big laugh when the waiter asked what the occasion was (First Date) and then followed up telling them they had to come back once they got engaged. Talk about a lot of pressure for the first date, but the waiter knew something they didn't.

The second and third dates were at Memorial Park. Allie had a brand new corgi puppy, Winston, and he couldn't be left alone for long periods of time. So, Allie requested that they do something that was puppy friendly. Daniel won Winston over (with bribery) so that he could devote the rest of his time winning over Allie. Apparently, that worked!

Allie and Daniel shared their first kiss on their fourth date where Daniel cooked Allie a wonderful steak dinner.

On their six-month anniversary, they went on a road trip to Enchanted Rock, where Daniel gifted Allie earrings at the top of the mountain. They spent the rest of the trip touring Fredericksburg, TX.

Daniel and Allie first said, "I love you," on Winston's birthday on November 19th, 2022.

Daniel knew he wanted to marry Allie by their one-year anniversary, which they spent back at their first date restaurant, Union Kitchen, so he started planning things out.

In August 2023, Megan, Traci, Taylor and Allie went ring shopping and Megan secretly sent Daniel ring details. In September 2023, Daniel met with Kevin where he asked for Kevin's blessing to marry Allie. After a lengthy conversation Kevin asked, "Are you sure?". This is an inside joke you'll have to ask Kevin about. On November 1st, 2023, Allie and Daniel went to Northern California to visit the Guvernators (Rosalie's family), where Rosalie helped Daniel devise the perfect engagement plan.

Daniel proposed to Allie on November 18th, 2023! He concocted a plan to have Allie's family meet at Memorial Park for "fake" family photos; however, the family was not actually going to show up. After Allie and Daniel arrived, her family called saying they were going to be late due to traffic! Daniel had arranged for the photographer to suggest they take couple photos while they waited for the family to arrive. So, they embarked on a photo shoot around the water of Memorial Park. As they approached the far side of the lake, Daniel tricked Allie into looking the other direction as he pulled out the ring. Allie's reaction was priceless, and her first words were "Really!?!" followed shortly with a million "YES"s. After a continued intimate walk around the rest of the park and lots of laughter and tears, Allie and Daniel met up with all of Allie's family and Daniel's family for fajitas! Now we are here, and the rest is forever!
