We met our first week of freshman year at Boston College. Although neither of us can tell you exactly when or where we met, we know it was likely on the 4th floor of Fitzpatrick Hall. We formed a fast friendship with a wonderful group of people who shared almost every meal together, played (but never won) intramural volleyball, and stayed up late studying and hanging out most nights during our first year as Eagles.

As we moved into senior year, our friendship grew to something more. Soon we found ourselves on our first date at Publick House and by graduation, we were in it for the long haul. During our first few years together, we kept the Northeast Regional Amtrak in business with regular trips from Boston to New York and back. The distance was hard, but it made us enjoy our time together even more and look forward to the day when there would be no distance between us.

That day finally came in January of 2020, and, despite a pandemic separating us briefly again, we spent some great years in NYC with new friends, old friends, and an exhaustive amount of fun. But soon enough, we were itching for a new adventure, so we ditched our leases, bought a car, and started off on an epic cross-country road trip that would soon be fondly known as the Tour de RAV4.

Over the next two years, we lived & worked remotely in 16 states, visited 18 national parks, skied 70+ days, and put over 35,000 miles on our beloved RAV4. We discovered our love for hiking, paddleboarding, and being outdoors which not only brought us closer as a couple, but led us to our first home together in Boulder, CO.

Only about a week after arrival in Boulder (and with the secretive assistance of siblings Tim, Dave, and Chloe), Dan proposed to Keaton on a snowy mountaintop, followed by a once-in-a-lifetime dinner at the Flagstaff House. The Rocky Mountains are a very special place for the two of us, and we can’t wait to celebrate with all of you in beautiful Buena Vista in July 2025!!
