Back in high school when Daniel was a senior and I a junior, we had a class together. Everyone that was in that class would tell you Daniel was the quiet one and I was the chatty one. It was around Thanksgiving that year that we finally started talking in class, and we exchanged numbers, we didn’t actually talk or hangout outside of school. Daniel was the kid that sat behind me and tugged my hair just to pretend it wasn’t him. I was the girl that made sure my hair was on his desk just get his attention. In January, we ran into each other at the South Florida Fair and decided to hangout that night. Since that day we started talking more, but every attempt Daniel made to hang out with me, I made an excuse not to. Then March came along and I had to miss my favorite class one Friday, so I texted Daniel to let our teacher know why. That entire weekend we talked, and I just had to ask him why he wanted to hang out with me so much. He finally told me that he liked me! So as straight forward as I am, I said “well, when are you going to ask me out?” His reply was hilarious since we had class together every other day he said “Tuesday”. Of course I didn’t want to wait that long and suggested Monday! So, on Monday March 15th in 2010, I was waiting for Daniel in the courtyard. As he walked through the school gates I got butterflies, we started walking and he asked me out on our way to first period.
