Our story began with an unlikely meeting on Facebook dating. Dan bravely asked April on a date in Billings on September 21, 2019 and it all sparked from there! Six months of long distance dating and many miles drove between Billings and Baker, April packed up her little green house and moved to Billings.

Dan popped the question and the bling on December 31, 2022 at Enzo’s and our engagement started.

Neither Dan or April are great at planning, so trying to plan a formal wedding was not going well. On our family trip to Vail, CO to visit brother Guy we spontaneously made an appointment at the courthouse in Eagle, CO to get married! Colorado does not require an efficient or witness to be married. We then quickly found outfits to have a small ceremony along with Guy and Astraea to “say words to each other” at Vail Mountain (Mount of the Holy Cross Outlook) on September 3, 2024. Maybe spontaneity is our forte! We ending the amazing day by enjoying an amazing meal in Vail Village. The following day we made the drive back home to Montana.

Our plan had been to have a wedding, but a Happily Ever After Party sounds even better to celebrate our first year of marriage!
