How They Met:

Daniel and Karli met around New Years of 2021. Karli was home visiting her family for the holidays and by chance, met Daniel. The plan was to go to Top Golf for their first date but someone forgot to make reservations... Instead we went and walked around Great Lakes Crossing for hours before seeing Wonder Woman 1984. The next day, Karli was headed back to Grand Rapids but the two were able to sneak in one last date that morning. For the next year, Karli and Daniel only saw each other once a month and cherished every second they got to spend together. At about one year, Karli and Daniel bought a house in Lake Orion and finally got to see each other everyday.

The Proposal:

While strolling through the Japanese Garden at Fredrick Meijer Garden surrounded by our best friends, Daniel asked Karli to marry her. He got down on one knee and said, "I have a very important question I need to ask you. You are the love of my life. Karli Obriecht, will you marry me?" The two never felt more in love as they hugged, laughed and cried. That day was a milestone on their journey to happily ever after.
