Q + A

What should I wear to the wedding?

Our suggested attire is formal / semi-formal, meaning slightly nicer than church wear. For the ladies, we ask that you wear modest, nice clothing (dresses, skirts, pant suits, etc.) and avoid wearing white or black. For the men, either button-up shirts and slacks or full suits are appropriate.

Are children allowed at the wedding?

Yes, we love children and are happy to celebrate with your entire family! Lone Star Flight Museum has two hangars of vintage aircraft, a flight simulator, the Toddler Terminal play area, and the Flight Academy with hands-on exhibits for kids of all ages to explore!

Where should I stay? Do you have a hotel block?

Please see the "Travel" tab for full resources on potential hotels to stay in. We do not currently have a Hotel Block available, but we will consider booking one if we have enough interest.

How long will the reception last?

The reception will begin around 6:30pm and include a full meal, wedding traditions, and enjoying the museum exhibits. While we respect that some may need to leave early, we encourage you to stay and see the couple off at 9:30pm if you are able. The museum will stay open for your viewing pleasure until 10:30pm.

What food and drinks will be provided?

We will provide non-alcoholic drinks during "Happy Hour" while guests visit the museum followed by a full dinner.

Should I bring a gift to the wedding?

Please do not bring gifts to the wedding as the bride and groom will be flying off to their new life together and will not have room to take gifts with them. Gifts can be given ahead of time or mailed directly to the couple. Cards and monetary gifts can be taken along on the honeymoon to read and enjoy!
