Part 1: As Sohaila remembers it:


I had just started working at Quest and was overwhelmed by all of the new and unfamiliar faces. Dan was the guy who sat in the row across from mine two computers down. He seemed quiet and reserved so we barely exchanged words. Months passed and then one day while I was eating lunch alone, he asked if he could join me. I didnt think much of it as I was still fairly new and simply eager to make friends. We carried on a conversation quite effortlessly and it felt as if I had known him forever.


It wasnt long before I called Dan my best friend. We ate lunches together, gossiped about our coworkers, and shared stories from our work days. I loved spending time with him, so much so that I longed to be at work when I wasnt. This is how I knew the love was real ( jk hunny😂). But in all seriousness, at that point I felt so blessed to know Dan even if we werent in a relationship.


Luckily for me, he finally asked me out after what felt like forever, and quite literally the rest is history. Since our first date, the adventures have been endless from camping trips to hiking to skiing to catching flights ✈️. One particular flight to Ireland was the most memorable however. On July 27, 2023, while combatting numerous tears, I said yes to marrying my best friend with the beautiful scenic Cliffs of Moher in the background. LITERALLY A DREAM, and best of all, now we both have an excuse to go back to Ireland in years to come.


Most days I feel like Im living a dream, a somewhat fairytale life where all things align. But then I just remember that God has blessed me infinitely by making sure our paths crossed. We are eagerly awaiting September 3, 2024 and cant wait to celebrate with our loved ones!


Part 2: As Daniel (more accurately) remembers it:


Early one Monday while enjoying my morning coffee, I noticed a new angelic face sitting amongst the sea of ogres I call my coworkers. I thought to myself, who is this curly haired cutie? I indiscriminately walked by her desk several times in an attempt to make eye contact and share a smile, to no avail. This continued for days, and days turned into weeks. A fire had been burning inside of me that needed to be extinguished.


Alas, there she was in a packed cafeteria sitting quietly at a table all alone. The opportunity I had been waiting an eternity for. I decided it was time to assert my dominance, and politely asked if I may join her for lunch. She so graciously obliged. We began chatting and instantly it had felt as if weve known each other for a lifetime. There was an undeniable connection, and I was determined for it to continue. I managed to obtain her phone number, and from there my mission had begun. Operation steal her heart was in full effect.


Fast forward a few weeks, and dozens more shared lunches at work, I was finally able to convince her to let me take her on a real date. It just so happened to be the week of her birthday, and I was determined to take her out and celebrate. We shared a wonderful meal at Bocado and laughed endlessly over sangria. It was a night I will never forget. The sun had now set, and it was time to bring the birthday girl home. I drove slowly in an attempt to cherish every minute I had left with her by my side. As we neared her apartment the nerves began to rattle, and the butterflies set in. Do I go for a kiss, or not? was the dilemma battling in my mind. I decided to go for it! It might as well been the fourth of July, because the sparks we shared were absolute fireworks!


From that moment, she had changed my life forever. Operation steal her heart was complete. But the real mission had only just begun. Up next was as convincing her to marry me. The most difficult part of the mission took place on July 27th, 2023, on the western coast of Ireland, overlooking the Cliffs of Moher. It was a great success! (Very Niceee!)
