In a world where two people longed for love . . .

Both of them had given up. Both of them felt like they had been waiting for so long for God to send them the right person. Was it him? No. Was it her? No. Both of them had despaired. Until one day . . .

Aaron, Daniel's childhood friend, told him, "Your future wife is on the shelf, but she's coming." Daniel was so thankful to God for sending a word through his friend.

Meanwhile, Shannon was catching up with her friend Jessee at work, laughing and talking about their favorite books and random stuff. Suddenly, Jessee asks, "Are you still single?"

To say the question caught Shannon off guard would be an understatement. Once Shannon answered yes, Jessee explained, "My husband Aaron has a friend. He's a great man of God and really sweet. I think you two would be a perfect fit. Would you like to talk to him?"

Shannon laughed. She told Jessee about her Valentine's Day Facebook post and embracing her singleness. This seemed crazy timing.

Jessee assured Shannon there was no pressure, and to pray about it. But Shannon's heart fluttered with excitement. Could this be The One?

On the other side of the river, Daniel had given up the dating apps he was trying to find The One on, and focused on praying and waiting. Two weeks later, out of the blue, a message from Jessee popped up on his phone. He read, "I don't know if you're interested but I have a friend who is a Godly woman and a gamer. I think y'all could hit it off. Let me know if y'all would like to talk." Daniel questioned his mind and heart. "God, if this isn't meant to be, don't let it work out." He prayed. Spoiler alert, it did.

The rest is history. They talked, they video chatted. They had so much to talk about, they would finally say goodnight in the wee hours of the morning. They learned quickly how much they had in common. They loved God, guns, and gaming. In March 2022, he asked to court her to be his girlfriend, and she gladly accepted. They finally met face to face in May of the same year, and he officially asked her dad if he could court her. He, of course, said yes.

Over the next two years, they grew to love each other. They had many talks, including a few disagreements, but in the end, they knew their love was greater than anything the devil tried to put between them.
