About eight years ago, Raini’s new friend Andy invited her to a party at his house with some friends from high school. She found herself sitting at a table in the backyard with a few people when she locked eyes with Dan and did what any 20 year old, blindly confident millennial would do in 2015; she asked everyone for their Snapchat.

Two weeks later, she sent Dan a Snapchat and the conversation went as follows:

Raini: Get coffee with me.

Dan: It’s 1:30 in the morning.

Raini: ...and I want a coffee.

The rest is history.

Dan and Raini have been getting coffee ever since (although, as they’ve gotten older, they tend to order ahead at a reasonable hour).

They have spent the last eight years building the foundations of their relationship, supporting each other as they pursued their careers, learning everything there is to know about each other, making each other laugh, buying a house and fixing it up, watching scary movies, adopting animals, kayaking on Farrington Lake, and being best friends.

They are so thankful for each other and for all the people who have supported their love. Dan and Raini are unapologetically inseparable and are so excited to start writing the next chapter of their love story.
