Like all good stories, ours begins with a crisis.

Against the backdrop of a global real estate meltdown, Sophie and Daniel were called in for support and had multiple opportunities to collaborate.

Over the course of our shared triumphs and failures, we came to appreciate each other's professionalism and dedication to our respective crafts during troubled times.

Through our time together, we have come to understand that there was more to us than our professional selves.

Our shared international history that spans three continents, love of a cosmopolitan way of life, and openness to new cultures afforded us many entertaining nights of discussion and stories, which only served to deepen our bonds.

But it was ultimately our shared faith that sealed the deal. While our professional interests and international outlook may propel us to new challenges, it is our shared belief in God that ensures we have what it takes to surmount these challenges and keep going.

With this knowledge, we were overcome with the conviction that this was someone with whom we could walk the difficult path of life together—come what may, whether the upcoming days be sad or joyous.

Now, the two paths are intertwined into one and begin anew. Under the blessing of God and the support of our friends and loved ones, we intend to take the first step on our new path on this bright, sunny day in July.
