Kyle Mispel-Beyer - Best Man
Kyle and Dan go way back—all the way to their days as little mischief-makers at Cardinal Léger. Their friendship grew over many lacrosse games, marathon anime sessions, and countless outdoor adventures (sometimes involving getting hilariously lost). Now, he’s taken on the ultimate adventure: fatherhood. Dan has been honoured to witness his dad skills evolve—seriously, the dad jokes are *chef’s kiss*. Kyle’s making the trek from Sudbury to Canmore, and Dan couldn’t imagine tying the knot without his lifelong partner-in-crime by his side.
Ethan Roy - Groomsman
Ethan and Dan first joined forces at Notre Dame High School, where they honed their talents for making each other laugh until their stomachs hurt—and occasionally trying to outdrink each other (Dan will let you guess who usually won). A true ride-or-die friend from Sault Ste. Marie, Ethan’s making the pilgrimage to Calgary for the big day, and Dan knows he’ll bring his signature mix of hilarity and heart. Let the laughs—and drinks—flow freely once again.
Bikram Brar - Groomsman
Bikram and Dan bonded over their love of excessively long board games, EDM beats that never quit, and, most importantly, his dogs Tony and Bandit (the real MVPs—and honorary groomsmen Alongside Frisket and Enzo Malcolm and Laura's Fur Babies). Every time they hang out, he's reminded of how lucky he is to call him a friend. Dan can’t wait to dance the night away with him in Calgary and celebrate this next big chapter with a guy who’s all heart (and all party).
Malcolm Laraque - Groomsman
Malcolm may be a relatively newer friend, but he quickly became one of Dan’s favourite people to gripe about hockey heartbreaks with. Though Dan questions his loyalty to the Oilers he has to begrudgingly admit they’ve made much more playoff progress than his Leafs. Malcolm’s now stationed in Edmonton, but whenever they reunite, it’s guaranteed to be a night to remember (or often not).
Rylee Restoule - Maid of Honor
Rylee and Pascale have always been like sisters, not just cousins. They grew up together, sharing everything from swimming in their grandparents pool any chance they got to big milestones. Rylee’s always been super driven and accomplished and someone Pascale has looked up even though she’s technically older than Rylee. She has always known she could count on her no matter what—especially when it came time to marry the love of her life. Even though life’s taken them in different directions, their bond is still as strong as ever. It’s one of those relationships that goes beyond family—built on love, loyalty, and all the memories they’ve made. No matter what, they’ll always be best friends and sisters at heart.
Jamie Ames - Bridesman
Unbeknownst to Jamie, when he met and fell in love with Lora, he had no idea it was a two-for-one deal. He found the woman of his dreams—and then got stuck with Pascale too. There was no avoiding it. Over time, though, Jamie and Pascale became the best of friends, bonding over fishing trips and video games. They spent hours together, trash-talking and laughing, and somehow, Jamie ended up being the one person who could put up with both Pascale and Lora. So, when Lora and Jamie got married, Pascale was honored to stand by his side. Now, it’s Jamie’s turn to return the favor—as the one and only bridesman! Because, let's be real, there’s no way he’s escaping this friendship now.
Lora Wahamaa Ames - Bridesmaid
Lora and Pascale have been friends since their brothers played hockey together, but they really found each other again in university when they both ended up working at Banana Republic. Inseparable ever since, Lora quickly became Pascale’s ying to her yang, as if no time had passed. Whether they’re causing trouble or being loud and dramatic (usually both at the same time), there’s never a dull moment when they’re together. It’s like the universe just knew they were meant to be partners in crime—and no one else can quite handle the chaos they bring except Jamie!
Laura Franco - Bridesmaid
Laura was one of the first friends Pascale made when she moved to Calgary. They bonded over being the only two not working at the TBCC, which meant they could enjoy the drama without getting caught up in it themselves. Instead, they’d escape by talking about their favourite trashy reality TV shows or the fantasy books they were reading. Even though Laura now lives in Edmonton, they still find a way to share their love of all things trash TV by sharing memes. When they get together, it’s guaranteed to be a great time especially with Dan, Malcolm, and Bikram getting up to their usual antics.
Jessica Brar - Bridesmaid
Jessica and Pascale are as thick as thieves, with a friendship built on their shared love of books, shopping, and—of course—shopping for books. If there’s a new board game to try, you can bet they’re in it together, even when it’s so complicated they have no idea what’s going on (looking at you TI). Their bond goes beyond just them though, since their dogs are also best friends, making every hangout even more fun. They make it a point to see each other at least once a week, because any longer apart just feels like too much. Every time they’re together, Pascale is reminded of how lucky she is to have Jessica in her life. Bonus points if Bikram is involved too—because what’s better than some quality time with your best friends.
Gabrielle St-Jacques - Bridesmaid
Pascale feels incredibly lucky to not only be gaining Dan but a sister as well. From the moment she met Dan, she could see how much he meant to her, and as she’s gotten to know his family, she’s realized how lucky she is to have found someone like his sister. They’ve connected over nights spent laughing and drinking, spending quality time together when they can. It’s one of those friendships where everything just clicks. Pascale knows that with Dan, she’s not just getting the man she loves, but a whole new family, and that’s a gift she’s truly grateful for.
And, of course, Dan is just as thrilled to have Gab standing with them on their wedding day. Whether it’s rescuing Pascale from one of Dan’s questionable arguments (because Gab knows when to call him out) or coming to Dan’s aid with hangover cures, Gab’s always there when you need her. She’s the kind of sister who’s got your back—and your Gatorade.
