Do I need a visa to travel to Argentina?
No, if you are a US citizen, you do not need a visa to travel to Argentina for tourism purposes for up to 90 days!
What travel documents do I need to travel?
Your passport needs to be valid for at least six (6) more months at the time of entering Argentina, with at least two (2) blank pages. If you need to renew your passport, start the process ASAP - it can take up to three months! No vaccinations are required for entry into Argentina.
When should I book my flights?
We recommend checking availability as early as possible to keep flights affordable. Ideally, flights should be booked no later than 3 months in advance. This timing helps secure the best fares and availability, especially since November is springtime in Argentinaâa popular season for travel.
Which airport should I fly into?
Youâll want to fly into Ezeiza International Airport (EZE), also known as Ministro Pistarini International Airport. EZE is the main international airport in Buenos Aires, located about 30 minutes to an hour from the city center, depending on traffic. From there, itâs easy to arrange transportation to Palermo or other parts of the city.
Some airlines also fly into Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP), the cityâs domestic airport, which handles a few regional international flights. If you find an option to land at AEP, itâs even closer to Palermo (about 20-30 minutes by car).
What kind of transportation is available in and around Buenos Aires?
Walking, ride-share apps (like Uber or Cabify), and taxis are the most convenient options. Buenos Aires also has a reliable subway system (Subte) for getting around the city.
Where should I stay in Buenos Aires?
We recommend staying in the Palermo neighborhood of Buenos Aires. Itâs a vibrant, walkable area filled with charming streets, shops, amazing restaurants, and parks. Whether youâre looking for boutique hotels, small or large airbnb's, or cozy cafes, Palermo has it allâand itâs conveniently located for exploring the city. Plus, staying here will make it easy to connect with other wedding guests and soak in the local culture. While we highly recommend staying in Palermo to make the most of the wedding festivities and ensure easy logistics, feel free to reach out if you have questions about other neighborhoods. Check the "Travel" tab of the website to see some recommendations for places to stay.
How will we get to and from the wedding venue?

Are there any safety tips for exploring Buenos Aires?
In Buenos Aires, like in many large cities, be mindful of your surroundings and keep belongings secure, especially in tourist hot spots and crowded places.
Are there any cultural tips for exploring Buenos Aires?
A 10% to 15% tip is expected when eating out, but not mandatory and dining is typically later in the evening, with dinner starting around 8:30-9:00 PM or later.
What currency is used in Argentina, and how do I exchange money?
Argentina uses the Argentine peso (ARS). U.S. dollars are accepted in some areas, but we recommend bringing cash to exchange for pesos or using credit cards (Visa and Mastercard are the most accepted). Credit cards are widely accepted but we recommend always carrying some pesos for smaller businesses, taxis, tips, etc.
What should we pack to stay comfortable and prepared for the trip?
November is springtime in Buenos Aires, with warm days (highs around 75â85°F) and cooler evenings. Pack light layers, comfortable shoes for walking, and an umbrella just in case! We also recommend packing bug spray to keep mosquitoes at bay, especially when exploring outdoors.
Can I drink the tap water in Buenos Aires?
Yes, the tap water is drinkable.
I want to do some traveling before/after the wedding, any recommendations?
