This picture was taken on January 16, 2023, the night we met at our young adults ministry. It is only fitting that our first conversation took place at Chickfila: a place where many of God’s blessings are bestowed🙌

We met in January. On February 20, Luke told Daniela he thought she was someone he wanted to marry in the Canes parking lot. Something about chicken makes us feel romantic.

After a couple months of getting to know each other in group settings, Luke asked to take Daniela out to Thai food after church. We went for a cold walk at Hafer Park after. Sparks were flying✨

We tried, unsuccessfully, to break up, even though we didn’t have any official title in May and June of 2024. We weren’t very good at being “broken up” because we kept hanging out— like in this picture.

Titles aren’t necessary, but they’re helpful. We made our titles official after this date to the botanical gardens and hammocking.

December 2023 we got to visit Daniela’s family for Christmas!

Chickfila and Portugal is pretty much where the best stuff goes down. On July 4th, 2025 in Sintra, Portugal, Luke and Daniela’s dreams came true!
