Daniela and Ryan first met 7 years ago in the fall of 2017 while both attending Texas Christian University. Ryan was a sophomore at the time while Daniela had just started her freshman year. They are both from New Jersey and had several mutual friends. Ryan had seen a photo of Daniela posted from one of her friends and Ryan screenshotted it sending this photo to his best friend saying this will be his next girlfriend. At this time Daniela and Ryan still hadn’t officially met until Daniela’s first official weekend in college. Ryan’s fraternity Delta Tau Delta was throwing a luau party and he decided to go to a pregame with his friends. Daniela just so happened to end up at the same pregame and they laid eyes on each other for the first time. Daniela pretended not to recognize Ryan as she was shy and nervous at the time but Ryan walked straight up to introduce himself. Daniela and Ryan hit it off and started talking the following week. They found themselves seeing each other more and more, and he asked her on their first date. Ryan took Daniela to Chuy’s, an amazing Tex Mex restaurant, perfect for a first date. A few weeks later, Daniela’s parents visited her at school for the first family weekend and got to meet the boy she had been telling her family about for weeks. Ryan asked Daniela to be his girlfriend the evening of Daniela’s sorority formal on September 28th, to which she replied, “Really?” They have been inseparable ever since!

They had the time of their lives at TCU and it will always hold a special place in their hearts. Ryan graduated during COVID in May of 2020 and moved home to New Jersey for a short time followed by moving back to Fort Worth in spring of 2021. Daniela finished out her senior year and graduated in May of 2021. In Fall of 2021, Daniela moved to Dallas and started her first job working at ISN while Ryan opened his first Jersey Mike’s franchise in Fort Worth. The next couple of years were challenging, yet very rewarding for both of them living on their own and working full time jobs for the first time. In May of 2023, Ryan and Daniela decided to move into their first apartment together in Las Colinas where they continued to build their lives together. 

In February of 2024, Daniela’s parents were visiting them in Texas when they gave Ryan their blessing to marry their daughter. Daniela had made it very difficult for Ryan to get them alone as she made plans altogether for the entire weekend. The morning that her parents were heading back to New Jersey, Daniela was at work and Ryan offered to drive them to the airport to ask for their blessing before they left, knowing the next time he would see them would be 4th of July weekend. 

Ryan worked for months designing the beautiful engagement ring for his soon to be fiancée. Soon enough, the weekend of the 4th of July rolls around and it is time for Ryan to propose to Daniela. They flew home to New Jersey to spend the weekend with Daniela’s family at their beach house in Long Beach Island. This has always been Daniela’s happy place that she got to share with Ryan the last 7 years together, so Ryan knew it was the perfect place to ask her to marry him. Ryan worked with Daniela’s mother and sisters to plan the perfect proposal. Daniela had been slightly suspicious but her family and friends did a great job not spoiling the surprise. On July 3rd, Ryan and Daniela enjoy a beautiful pool day together and walk on the beach. Daniela was told that they had dinner reservations at Hotel LBI that night, so later that day she began getting ready, not knowing in just a couple hours she would be engaged to the love of her life. Once Daniela is dressed and ready, her sister Sofia told her to go up to the roof for family photos as Ryan followed behind her. Little did she know she was walking up to the most beautiful proposal and her sister Julia and her boyfriend Kavon were waiting upstairs with their cameras to capture the perfect moment. Daniela immediately starts crying as she now realized what she was walking into. Ryan guided Daniela to the edge of the roof where flowers and candles had been setup. Ryan got down on one knee and asked Daniela to spend the rest of her life with him. This was the best day of their lives, knowing that an even better one would be coming soon after - their wedding day!

Daniela and Ryan spent the evening of their proposal with their families and FaceTiming their friends to let them know the good news. The next day they had an even bigger celebration at their 4th of July party, enjoying the celebration with friends and family. They returned to Texas a week later and returned to their friends threw them an amazing engagement party with all their Texas family and friends.
