Our Wedding

In the spring semester of 2020, two high school juniors took their seats in an honors U.S. history class, fully prepared for a long and uneventful semester. What they didn’t know was that they were about to meet the person they would one day choose forever. What began as a simple high school crush grew into a deep friendship, and eventually, an unbreakable bond between two like-minded souls. Their similarities brought them together, while their differences brought the best out of the other. A shared love of baseball/softball and similar family values led to endless late night conversations, while their opposing introverted and extroverted personalities helped the other step out of their comfort zones.Though our relationship began just as we had imagined, it wasn’t long before we faced our first challenge. Within a month of starting to date, the COVID-19 pandemic brought the world to a halt, keeping us apart for the first three months of our relationship. Instead of pulling us apart, that distance only strengthened our bond. Through daily FaceTime calls, we learned how to truly communicate with one another, laying a foundation of trust and connection that remains one of the strongest parts of our relationship today.We knew that the transition from high school to college would be an adventure we could handle as long as we had each other, and we were right. Throughout our college years, we were each other’s biggest supporters, always reminding one another that we were working toward a shared future. We stayed focused on our goals, worked hard, and pushed ourselves, all while continuing to grow our relationship. Whether it was meeting at our favorite local pizza spot to do homework together, or hopping on shuttles after exams just to meet up at study halls, we always found a way to balance our academic lives with time for each other. All of that hard work paid off when we graduated from Arizona State University, and got to cheer each other on at our respective graduations we had worked so hard to reach. In the midst of our final semester at ASU, we had made the decision that will shape the future of the rest of our lives. In March of 2025, on a trip to Sedona, Arizona, Zach got down on one knee, and with tears of joy in her eyes, Dani said yes.Since our engagement and college graduations, life has been filled with exciting new chapters. After Zach accepted a Manufacturing Engineering position with Boeing, we made the move to O’Fallon, Missouri, where Zach is grateful to be working in one of his dream roles, and Dani has found her passion teaching young children at an early education center. As we build our life together, our faith has become the cornerstone of everything we do. It is deeply important to us that our marriage is rooted in our Christian beliefs, centered on love, grace, commitment, and putting God at the heart of our relationship. As we look ahead to our wedding day and the future beyond, we are incredibly thankful for the journey that has brought us here and excited for all that lies ahead. We cannot wait to celebrate the beginning of our forever with the people we love most!
