HOW LONG SHOULD WE PLAN OUR TRIP FOR?
We recommend arriving Thursday and staying through Sunday in order to have extra time to explore more of the city! However, we appreciate any effort you make to celebrate our wedding weekend!
ARE KIDS INVITED? CAN I BRING A PLUS ONE?
Although we love your little ones, we have decided to keep our wedding an adults-only event. So take the night off and come celebrate with us!
It's important to us to create an intimate experience with our closest friends and family, therefore we ask guests not bring anyone outside of those listed on their invite.
WHAT KIND OF WEATHER SHOULD I EXPECT IN JULY?
July is the rainy season for this region. However, any rain is usually brief and clears up quickly. Temperatures are typically in the mid-70s, and in the evening can be in the low 60's.
Be sure to pack light clothes for the day and layers for at night! Additionally, please keep in mind that San Miguel is in the mountains and has an altitude of more than 6,000 feet.
SHOULD I EXCHANGE MY CURRENCY TO MEXICAN PESOS?
We recommend to exchange at least 100 dollars to mexican pesos, as taxi's, some outdoor markets and small stores don't use credit cards. At the moment 1 us dollar is 16.97 mx pesos.
IS IT SAFE TO GET AROUND IN SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE?
Yes! San Miguel is very Americanized with a mostly tourist population. It is home to many American Expats and is one of the safest cities in Mexico. It is very easy to walk everywhere or catch a taxi. Taxi's run around 80-100 pesos. ($5-6 USD)
