About the Bride:
Danielle Amdahl was born and raised in Coon Rapids MN, currently lives in Cambridge MN. Graduated from Coon Rapids Senior High in 2001, Inver Hills Community College in 2006 with a degree in Human Services and Anoka Ramsey Community College in 2015 with a degree in Nursing. Danielle currently works as a Clinical Director for an assisted living and as an on-call triage nurse. Danielle has 5 kids, 3 boys and 2 girls, ages 12-18. Danielle loves to spend time with family, lounge on the deck with the fire going, read, mostly romance or murder mystery novels, watch sci-fi/ supernatural/ fantasy TV and Movies, camping, road trips, cruising and traveling.

About the Groom:
Nikolaus Seese born and raised in Duluth MN, currently lives in Cambridge MN. Graduated from Duluth Central High School 2002. Joined the US Army in 2003. Deployed to Afghanista 2003 - 2005. Stationed in Florida until 2011. Nikolaus currently works as a Carpenter for TresHus Architects + Interior Designers + Builders. Nikolaus loves to spend time with family, work in the yard, take care of/ admire flowers, read, mostly thrillers, watch superhero, thriller, action, sci-fi/supernatural TV and movies, kayak, camping, road trips, cruising and traveling.

How We Met:
It all started with a wave on Facebook dating April 6th 2023. Danielle and Nikolaus spent a month communicating via text, phone and video before meeting in person because they lived 2 hours away from each other. Their first date was on May 6th 2023 at Hanabi sushi and bar and Pier B Resort Hotel. Our waiter told us we were the cutest couple and was shocked when we said it was our first date, he thought wed been together for years. We made it official May 7th 2023.

Meeting the Kids:
It was important to Danielle that the kids approved of and liked Nikolaus so he met the kids the following weekend, May 12th 2023. He walked into pure and utter chaos, the girls were doing their nails, the boys were being loud and picking on the girls. It was like Nikolaus belonged there, He fit right in like the last piece of their family puzzle. They ended up having a nice night hanging out on the deck, a nice fire going.

How We Spent Time Together:
Danielle and Nikolaus spent their first year together making memories with each other and as a family. A few of their favorites are many camping and road trips, the Dead End Hayride, sitting out on the deck with the fire pit on, or on the porch enjoying the flowers, cruising and the shenanigans of raising a puppy (Macy May)

The Proposal:
They went on a cruise in November for Nikolauss 40th Birthday. They enjoyed spending time together exploring the islands, going to shows, playing cards. Nikolaus did some special shopping our first day on the cruise and spent the next few days messaging with the kids and making sure they approved, they demanded pictures and video of course. Nikolaus caught Danielle off guard when he proposed on his birthday November 28th 2023. They had a delicious dinner at Fahrenheit 555 Steak House and then decided to take advantage of some of the photo ops because it was the last elegant night. After one of their photos they were walking away and Danielle looked back at Nikolaus and he was getting down on one knee. Danielle couldnt process what was happening, his dad was prepared and recording, of course Danielle said yes, thats why youre all reading this story.


We can’t wait to celebrate with all of you as we say “I do” at our wedding in October!
